99’s new Mazda work a case study for agency in-house production

AUCKLAND, Thursday: 99’s ongoing partnership with Mazda NZ to produce brand work with in-house agency talent continues, with two new campaigns that showcase the CX range of cars.

The “small, nimble” agency team produced A Lot Going On and Evolved For You – concepts that include video, OOH, press and digital – all produced by 99 staff.

99’s head of content Therese Bielawa said: “Then we’re able to make changes with everyone in the room, on the fly, raising the quality level for everyone. And with the same people working together with each new campaign, the work just gets faster and better.

Senior motion designer Justin Fels said: “We’ve really committed this year to investing in our tech and our talent, bringing it up to the best levels available in New Zealand, inside or outside agency-land.

“The move to a Redshift GPU system means video that used to take hours to render can now be done in minutes. Using this extremely fast rendering system allows the team to spend more time lighting, crafting and tweaking the work, instead of hours spent waiting to see what the result could be.”
