New Zealand Golf has forged a two-year partnership with NZME Radio and its lead brand Newstalk ZB, targeting all those who love golf.

Newstalk ZB general manager Dallas gurney says the network is delighted to be working with New Zealand Golf over coming years to expand golf’s exposure throughout the country, help showcase major New Zealand Golf events and spark a love of golf for those unfamiliar with the game.

“New Zealand Golf is a fantastic organisation we have a lot of respect for and has many exciting and innovative plans and events that Newstalk ZB is pleased to be a part of.

The partnership will span the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open, and the Charles Tour.

New Zealand Golf commercial manager Nick Rowland says he’s pleased to bring NZME Radio along on the golf journey.

“NZME Radio and Newstalk ZB really understand the future direction for golf throughout the country. Their assistance over the next few years will help secure the tournaments and brand for future years.”

  • The ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open has turned into an iconic event in New Zealand and is cementing its place as an important fixture internationally, with the support of No 1 ranked professional Kiwi woman golfer Lydia Ko who won the 2015 title.
  • The Charles Tour was established in 2007 and continues to drive growth in the game of golf by providing a playing pathway for elite amateur and professional golfers.
