Mindfood grows another arm

Mindfood publisher Michael McHugh has unveiled a new biannual magazine, Mindfood Décor, which appears to be aiming at the home-maker interior design market – not quite the same sector served by AGM quarterly Interior magazine, which targets the professional end of the market.

“After much research and readers asking for more Mindfood platforms, this year we are pleased to welcome our new brand,” McHugh said in a release.

“Not just pages of unattainable interior design perfection, Mindfood Décor offers a range of collections of furniture, tableware, fabrics and furnishings to make a house a home.”

Mindfood Décor will come out each year in May and November. The launch issue is free with the August edition of Mindfood. Subsequent issues will be sold separately – but at press time, a Mindfood spokesperson said the cover price has yet to be determined.

The release blurb says: “Mindfood Décor is filled with inspiration and ideas for your home, including expert advice on colour and options for the dining table, decorative items and soft furnishings in the season’s favourite hues.”

There’s also a “sneak peek into some enviable abodes from the United States to the Swiss Alps and the Danish capital”, plus “the latest innovations and design ideas in the kitchen and bathroom for the ultimate in modern living”.
