Curious about the latest technologies that could bring an event to life? Next Friday (24 July) EMANZ, PRINZ and Getty Images will be running a free, live demonstration of innovations in visual content with specific focus on experiential, activation and event-based elements.

“Content creation is now one of the key elements of the majority of experiential and event-based campaigns,” says Experiential Marketing Association of NZ chair Mark Pickering.

“Social, mobile and digital channels are now being utilised to amplify and extend the reach of activations as well as provide effective measurement KPIs via consumers clicking, tagging, sharing and liking video and photo content online.

“Capturing those moments of emotional engagement between brand and consumer is now the key to most experiential campaigns,” he says.

The demo will be held at the Event Centre at Auckland Memorial Museum in the Domain, from 3pm to 5:30pm, showcasing the technology on offer from Getty Images and their staff of award-winning photographers, including:

  • Drone photography and video
  • Interactive 360° gigapixel content
  • Virtual reality via Oculus Gear
  • Media features and real-time distribution

The interactive session will be followed by Q&A with the photographers and networking drinks. There’s no charge for admission, but places are limited, so you’ll need to reserve here: e.gettyimages.co.nz/livedemoevent

Mark Pickering is chair of EMANZ (The Experiential Marketing Association of NZ) and is a founding member of the CAANZ PREScom (PR, Experiential & Social Media Committee). He is also founder and creative strategist at experiential agency FLUXX: Ideas in Motion.\
