Auckland artist Mike Davison (head of art at Colenso BBDO) holds his new show, Rangi & Papa, at Flying Fish, 230 Ponsonby Rd on Friday & Saturday 20th & 21st November.
Over the past two decades, Davison has been a practising artist with solo exhibitions in Wellington, Auckland and New York (where he lived for seven years around the millennium). His advertising career spans almost 30 years.
His new show features large and small paintings on steel panels and plywood, Giclee printed editions on paper and sculpture.
“The theme of all the work is relationships and the space between people,” Davison says. “This show is the culmination of over five years work.” he says.
The show opens at 5pm on the Friday and runs till 10pm. On Saturday, it runs from 10am to 9pm. Entry is free.
