With its eye fixed firmly on the NZ business consumer, NZME has launched The Economy Hub, a new and informative online video content series.
NZ Herald business editor at large Liam Dann says the business community can look forward to a 10-minute weekly segment that will dissect and discuss the major announcements and happenings from around the world and local economies.
“The Economy Hub is designed to shed light on the big economic issues that are important to all New Zealanders. Each week guest panellists will provide thought-provoking views and discussion on three topics which will appeal to the average homeowner as well as some of our largest companies.”
Dann will host the weekly Thursday show with two or three invited experts from within the business community.
“Our invited guest panellists will be made up of key business experts offering a variety of economic and analytical commentary and will provide a deeper analysis of the big issues during the week,” he says. “The panellists will alter each week ensuring we provide expert and appropriate discussion depending on the topics of the week.”
NZME editorial director business Fran O’Sullivan is confident The Economy Hub will resonate well with its audience.
“We know the NZME newsroom is the leading and most trusted source of business news producing up-to-the-minute market information on New Zealand and global economies,” she says. “The creation of a highly professional video series is simply a further extension of our commitment to constantly provide relevant and quality content for our business customers.”
The inaugural 10-episode series of The Economy Hub is sponsored by HSBC.
“As one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations, HSBC aims to connect customers to opportunities and enable businesses to thrive,” said HSBC NZ head of retail banking & wealth management Glen Tonks.
