PR exponent Antonios Papaspiropoulos has moved from his home base in NZ to a new GM role at Melbourne agency Effectus Marketing Group.
In NZ. he’d been at Network Communication from 2013 to 2014.
Papaspiropoulos’ career spans journalism, politics, private consultancy and corporate communications, including 15 years in PR leadership roles for Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron Corporation and BHP Billiton in Asia, Eastern Europe and Australia. He’s also worked for Coca-Cola, Nestle and Fisher & Paykel.
He first appeared on our radar as a columnist for North & South magazine in the early ’90s, and in a press secretary role at the NZ Parliament (1994-98).
Young & Shand hires media director
Young + Shand has appointed Jonathan Sorensen as their new media director in Auckland, taking the reins of the agency’s digital media team, pulling together digital media strategy, digital media buying, technical marketing (SEO + Analytics) and live campaign optimisation into an integrated offering.

Sorensen joins Y+S after 18 months at OMD where he was account director on Air New Zealand. Prior to this he was business director at Carat for 2 ½ years.
