Saatchi & Saatchi client ASB has signed a sponsorship deal with TV ONE’s Seven Sharp – effective from next month – in a partnership that ASB says will recognise and reward deserving New Zealanders.
A regular ASB Good as Gold feature by the Seven Sharp team will celebrate New Zealanders who are “making a difference in their community”.
TVNZ commercial director Jeremy O’Brien says Seven Sharp attracts more than 400,000 New Zealanders every weeknight and it also has a large, engaged and growing social media community which will be central to the partnership.
“The Seven Sharp team are passionate about bringing ASB Good as Gold to life on television – the segment aligns with the team’s desire to tell the stories that matter to New Zealanders up and down the country,” says O’Brien.
ASB executive general manager marketing & communications Roger Beaumont says Seven Sharp is a natural partner for ASB. “Seven Sharp provides engaging, fresh and entertaining stories to a wide audience about New Zealanders from all walks of life – people just like our 1.4 million customers around the country.
“ASB Good as Gold is a compelling way to engage with communities across New Zealand by celebrating unsung Kiwi heroes from around the country.
“We believe this a great fit with Seven Sharp and we’re confident it will become a loved regular segment for viewers.”
The partnership will kick off on Monday 4 July with details of a trip for two to Chicago to see the All Blacks play Ireland in November, including behind-the-scenes tours and something called “treats”.
