Readers have responded to our call for more information on the NZ creative involved in the groundbreaking Hillary Clinton TVC campaign from her former agency, Droga5 New York.
This follows M+AD’s original story about a “mystery” New Zealand creative’s link to a hard-hitting Clinton TVC – read it here.
Reader responses to this story identified our mystery Kiwi creative as art director Beth O’Brien, a former creative at Colenso BBDO Auckland and a graduate from Kate Humphries’ 2010 MDS AdSchool course.
O’Brien has since left Droga5, and taken up an associate CD role at R/GA New York.

M+AD spoke to her briefly yesterday – when she very politely (but very firmly) declined all comment.
All the information in today’s story came from Google searches.
The TVC campaign was released online last week and within the hour it was being covered by Time magazine, the New York Times, CNN, and the Washington Post – with the latter describing it as ‘ingenious’.
Only hours later it had been viewed 3.5 million times and Forbes, in talking about the power of its creative, called it “a masterpiece of political advertising”.
“It uses Trump’s own inflammatory words against him by showing kids soaking up those words; offensive, outrageous words that no-one wants any child anywhere absorbing or emulating.”
