New York design shop eyes NZ flight drink product

Next month, rehydrating flight drink 1Above will launch a new brand expression/visual identity which has been crafted with New York-based global branding and design agency, Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR). 

“1Above are a Kiwi company but they’re taking off globally,” says Michaela Williams of Lily & Louis PR Auckland). “They came to the point where they needed to review their branding to speak to a global audience. The logo, packaging and marketing have all been crafted by JKR and will be rolled out in October.

“What was once a complex brand identity has been translated into a new visual identity system including: a new logo, packaging, in-store and OOH advertising and digital communications. The new system utilizes concise language, clean typography, and expressive photography that pay homage to the beauty of the sky as seen from 30,000 feet.

“1Above’s new A monogram cleverly deconstructs into icons that represent 1Above’s three main benefits – hydration, circulation and immunity.”
