Exponential has hosted its first Exponential Race – an event which saw 13 agency teams (including Carat, PHD, Contagion, OMD, Vizeum and Starcom) sprint around the Auckland CBD participating in challenges to become the ultimate victor.
A hard won race saw OMD take out the trophy and $800 prize, but the real winner on the day was the Auckland City Mission which received food donations purchased by the teams.
One race challenge saw each team being given $30 cash and instructed to purchase as many non-perishable food items as possible which were delivered to the City Mission on Hobson Street during the race.
Exponential NZ decided to double the regular contribution amount from $15 to $30 on behalf of all teams participating for the great cause.
Sophie Greer, Exponential’s NZ sales director, said: “Today was principally an opportunity for fun and adventure in Auckland’s beautiful CBD but we also wanted to acknowledge the terrific work of the Auckland City Mission that many of us rush past each day by incorporating charitable giving into the Exponential Race.”
The coveted ‘best dressed’ went to the team from Starcom, who also crossed the finish line first rocking their ‘Tight and Bright’ outfits.
