Colenso BBDO (with Proximity) and DDB have scored two Golds apiece at the Mashies digital & social creative awards in New York. Colenso also picked up three finalist spots, and DDB one.
The first of Colenso’s Golds went to the DB Brewtrolem phenomenon in Best Experiential Marketing. The other was for Amnesty Unblocker in Best Brand/Influencer Partnership.
DDB’s Golds came for Westpac Handheld Rescue in Best Facebook Campaign, and Fargo Woollens in Best Use of Tumblr (with Neon).
Colenso’s finalists were Burger King Backyard Burger in PR, Amnesty Unblocker in Best Global Campaign, and Pedigree A Dog’s Story in Best Use of Mobile. DDB’s finalist was Westpac Handheld Rescue in Best Use of Short Form Video.
“The Mashies celebrates the world’s most progressive and successful social and digital campaigns,” said Colenso creative chairman Nick Worthington. “Naturally we’re thrilled to pick up two wins and four shortlists and to be up there amongst some of the best digital companies in the world.”
DDB NZ ceo Justin Mowday said: “This is an amazing achievement for us, against some very tough global competition — including going up against Tumblr in their own category. To also be judged the world’s single best Facebook campaign is really special. We’re very proud of these two campaigns, and I think the results speak for the quality of the work.”
