OMD New Zealand made a significant contribution to the global tally that took OmnicomMedia Group agency OMD Worldwide to be named the world’s most creative media agency network by the Gunn Report for Media, maintaining its 11-wins unbeaten record since the report was launched.
“We’re particularly proud to see the contribution that OMD New Zealand has made to the overall tally through award winning campaigns like Jono v Ben, the Flag Consideration Project, and NZTA’s Hello and Mistakes,” said ceo Kath Watson last night.
The Gunn Report for Media is the industry standard for evaluating media creativity, ranking agencies according to their performance in the top industry awards shows around the world.
“One of the best things about OMD is that our clients and partners are able to leverage our knowledge of local markets and the access to resource that comes from being part of a global network,” Watson said.
“We’ve invested heavily in employing the best people and cultivating a collaborative, playful and fearless culture that encourages creativity.”
Andrew Reinholds, managing partner for New Zealand, said: “Gone are the days where media planners were the last stop on advertising’s road to market. These days we’re at the table from the beginning of the ideation process. The result is more effective use of channels, great partnerships and better results.
“Media is a fast and changing environment, and we want to be seen as an agency that pushes the boundaries of what is possible.”
