South Korea’s creative awards comp Ad Stars – billed as the biggest in Asia – has issued its entry call to agencies, creatives, production companies and students. The call came in the same week as the London International Awards issued theirs.

Ad Stars is free to enter – and offers a Grand Prix cash prize of US$10,000 (NZ$14,500). Entries close on Thursday 15 June.

Ad Stars – which is also celebrating its 10th birthday – will be held in Busan, South Korea.

“One of the big differences at Ad Stars is its openness,” said awards chair Eui Ja Lee. “We welcome entries 365 days a year, online and offline.”

Ad Stars has also unveiled a bold new identity – a bright, colourful star, which represents the vibrancy of the global creative and technology sectors, and was designed by award-winning design agency Oricom in Seoul.

“When Ad Stars launched in 2008, it was our vision was to create a truly democratic festival where everyone with an interesting creative idea can win – even non-professionals,” said Lee.
