Just nine days left to enter MediaWorks/CAANZ Inspiring Individual Award – it closes at 4pm on Friday 31 March. The winner will be announced at the Beacon Awards on Thursday 4 May – and will receive $10,000 to be used to further their education for experience and knowledge to be shared.
So who is the 2017 Inspiring Individual?
This would be the unsung hero in the company; the person who others find inspiring, with generosity of spirit, patience, willingness and eagerness to be involved. The person integral to the company culture and passionate about contributing to the company’s success.
Sandy Smith (now deceased) was business development manager at MediaWorks for 13 years.
CAANZ ceo Paul Head says she was a woman who gave back, a woman who had time for everyone. “She was a woman who would impart her knowledge to the budding stars of our industry – so in return, in her memory MediaWorks would like to give back,” he said.
“This is a peer-based award, recognising someone who is giving of their time, consistently smart in their thinking, has the ability to get the job done no matter what the circumstances.”
“This rewards their overall work demeanour – in that they are inclusive of their work colleagues and clients. But more than that, it should talk to the fact that anyone, from any walk of life would recognise them as an inspiring individual.”
