NZ-owned Go Media has announced the rollout of five new digital billboards, expanding its presence into Wellington, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North and Otaki.
Securing Go Media’s first Wellington site marks a milestone moment in the company’s digital plan, says MD Mike Gray.
The 12m x 3m site, located on the overbridge opposite Westpac Stadium, will target homebound commuters. Go Media’s second Wellington site (timing yet to be announced) will be on the opposite side of the same overbridge targeting city-bound commuters.
“Our first site is high profile and it will clearly capture the attention of Wellingtonians and clients alike,” said Gray. “We’re thrilled to announce our expansion into this city, further strengthening our digital offering.”
“For brands operating in regional markets, digital out-of-home is a sure-fire way of building brand fame with customers.”
Dean Shaw, director of billboard installation company Go Bacbou (a sister company to Go Media),commented on the regional digital extension into Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North and Otaki, said: “When Go Media launched into Taupo and Hastings the interest, impact and talk-ability amongst local audiences was overwhelming.
“For big and small brands operating in regional markets, digital out-of-home is a sure-fire way of building brand fame and consideration with customers.
“Go Media’s digital investment in the regions, with a population catchment of 542,600 people, now enables national brands with a local footprint to efficiently reach their customers, at a fraction of the production cost.”
The rollout began with the Palmerston North site going live last weekend. Tauranga will follow this Monday, Hamilton the next day on Tuesday 25 July, Otaki on Tuesday 1 August and Wellington on Monday 18 September.
Go Media is selling their new digital sites in four-week packages; providing advertisers with category exclusivity over the period, and first advertiser rights when they launch future digital sites.
