Alpha look to Botab jury

The Comms Council’s Botab committee has named its judges for this Thursday’s (31 August) Battle of the Ad Bands.

Matt Heath and Jeremy Wells from the Hauraki Breakfast Show will swap cricket for live music, joined by Matt Headland, award winning band manager in a past life and NZME’s current head of agency sales.

All are well qualified for the role – but, M+AD wonders, where are the girls, and the female perspective?

MC for the night is caustic funnyman Tim Batt. His role includes drawing a  business card for a Botab thank-you prize.

Six agency bands will go head-to-head for the trophy at the doomed Kings Arms (it’s about to be demolished to make way for redevelopment). The night kicks off with reigning champions, Friends Electric from Barnes, Catmur & Friends Dentsu.

This year, the sausage sizzle seeks a generous gold coin donation and all proceeds will go to the New Zealand Music Foundation to help with their goal of changing lives through music.

The sponsors

The Botab committee thanks its “fabulous sponsors who make it happen and for their amazing prizes” – Fortis Travel and their special getaway prize, Event Cinema tickets, Gourmet My Food Bags, Monteiths beer giveaways, Fruit Guys fruit boxes, chocolate from Whittakers, phone cards from Vodafone, Blunt Umbrellas, free icecreams from Much Moore, NW Group, Radio Hauraki, Fish n Clips, MandyVFX, Soar Print, Prego and the $500 lunch.
