The 2017 Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity – where many NZ campaigns will be judged through Asian eyes – will take place at Suntec Singapore from Wednesday 27 September to Friday 29 September.

Four Kiwis will sit on Spikes juries this year – Mango GM Sean Brown (PR jury), Colenso CD Kim Pick (Film, Print & Publishing, Outdoor Craft), Detsu Aegis NZ group head of strategy Jacquie Bennett (Media).

And Y&R ANZ ceo/chief creative officer Josh Moore will be president of the Outdoor and Radio juries.

The Spikes are the result of a collaboration between the organisers of the Cannes Lions and Haymarket, publishers of Campaign Asia-Pacific.

The festival provides the region’s growing creative and advertising industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together some of the finest creative thinkers from across the region and around the world.

Last year’s show, where Colenso and Y&R picked up five Grand Prix between them, was attended by 1800 delegates.

Three of those GPs went to Colenso BBDO’s celebrated Brewtroleum campaign, and two for Y&R’s equally celebrated McWhopper campaign. Colenso was also named Agency of the Year, and Clemenger BBDO Wellington won the Creative Effectiveness Spike.

The Spikes are judged by leading international and regional creatives, and honour the best creative work in the categories of Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Digital, Integrated, Direct, Promo & Activation, Media, Print Craft, Film Craft, Design, Mobile, PR, Branded Content & Entertainment, Healthcare and Innovation.
