Russell Fisher has been appointed the executive chief of sales for Yellow, a key role in the company as it pivots to become New Zealand’s largest digital marketing agency for SMEs.

Fisher joined the company in March 2017 as head of sales, and his elevation gives him responsibility for the national teams providing all sales and customer care services for Yellow.

Yellow is one of the country’s best and largest agencies for SMEs, and was recently recognised as the best at growing business online in Australasia in the Google Premier Partner awards.

Fisher has previously held senior leadership positions with large telecommunications companies in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He joined Yellow from the role of head of wholesale sales at Vodafone, and previously worked for Chorus NZ and TelstraClear.

“He runs the Facebook film review page Fish Fosh Film and is a long-time football coach and administrator.”

“I’m proud to be part of the journey of helping customers optimise their print services and pivot towards a digital future,” he said. “Yellow is a shop that’s always open, and I’m here to help business owners achieve success on their own terms, whatever their industry and wherever they are in the country.

“The measure of success will be when all our customers are our biggest advocates.”

Yellow ceo Darren Linton said, “Russell is passionate about helping Kiwi businesses harness their potential, and he has the skills and experience to ensure Yellow’s customers thrive. He deeply understands how to help businesses and their customers get the best out of digital services, and we are pleased that Russell is contributing his talents and energy to the Yellow vision.”

Fisher holds a BTEC National Diploma (business studies) from De Montfort University. He runs the Facebook film review page Fish Fosh Film and is a long-time football coach and administrator. He previously served as a board member and club secretary for Southside United Football Club in the UK, currently sits on the board at East Coast Bays Football as head of communications, is a qualified referee and is coaching a range of age groups and teams for East Coast Bays football Club and the Northern Football Federation in Auckland.
