Global Aussie site Best Ads on TV has named J Walter Thompson NZ’s Yeah Nah! for Ford NZ as a winner in the Print section of its Best Ads Of The Week column – an accolade endorsed by US site Adforum.

“I have to go with simplicity here,” said Best Ads guest judge, Ronny Northrop, ECD at independent creative agency Cutwater, San Francisco.

“This launch of the new Ford Transit Automatic in New Zealand was a fun way to get something cultural into what could have been one heck of a deathly boring ad.”

Both sites had to explain to readers that Yeah Nah is a uniquely Kiwi expression that translates to “Thanks but no thanks”.
