Just one Kiwi – The Warehouse Group’s Jonathan Waecker – is among the speakers.

The first wave of speakers to be announced includes:

  • David Shing, digital prophet for AOL/Oath.
  • Chuck Porter, co-founder and chairman of CP+B,
  • David Nobay, founding Partner and creative chairman at Doga5,
  • Sherilyn Shackell, founder and ceo of The Marketing Academy,
  • Malcolm Poynton, global chief creative officer at Cheil Worldwide Network,
  • Jonathan Waecker, CMO at The Warehouse Group NZ

Advertising Week’s existing events are held in London, New York and Tokyo. This year, in addition to Sydney, it’s also launching in Mexico City.

The inaugural Advertising Week APAC will take place between Monday 30 July 30 and Thursday 2 August.

Renowned for delivering “thought leadership by day, showbiz by night”, Advertising Week attracts tens of thousands of marketing and business leaders to its gatherings around the world and sheds a spotlight on areas the advertising, marketing and media industries need to be addressing head-on in the coming year to stay ahead of the curve.

Previous speakers around the globe include Al Gore, Sheryl Sandberg, Martin Sorrell, Arianna Huffington, Drew Barrymore, Keith Weed and Michael Roth.
