The production company behind the secretive Holden Here To Stay campaign was Nimble, according to reliable sources in Auckland.
Nimble was established by Special Group just last month to enhance its digital capabilities. Nimble is headed by production industry legend Patrick McAteer (formerly GM at Film Construction and ceo at Oktobor).
The TVC starred second-tier Aussie actor Michael Caton.
We’re calling the campaign “secretive” because although GM did issue a release, it contained 100% hype – and virtually no information about the creative and production process.
Special (usually onto it when it comes to information flow) appeared to be caught in the middle with a client insisting on micro-managing the campaign. The release came from GM HQ – not the agency.
M+AD yesterday incorrectly speculated that the production company was Thick As Thieves.
