International short film, music-clip & tvc director Luke Shanahan has added Auckland’s Thick as Thieves to its roster for New Zealand representation.
Shanahan is known for his work on character-driven pieces like Holden Twitch and Wrigley’s Say Hello To Fresh, and has won him metal for direction at LIA, AWARD and Axis.
He made a mark in NZ in 2014 with WhatsMyNumber for the Electricity Authority and Y&R.
Thick as Thieves executive producer Nik Beachman said: “I have always been of fan of Luke’s work, and the man. He’s an inspired director who loves to push boundaries in dark comedy and visual narrative – and we could not be happier.”
“He has shot a debut feature, Rabbit, starring Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby, Rectify).”
Shanahan is now bringing another dimension to his work with a debut feature, Rabbit, starring Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby, Rectify).
Set for theatrical release mid-year after sweeping the festival circuit, Rabbit is a psychological thriller about a young woman searching for her twin sister.
