Stand by for an avalanche of bad fart jokes as Whybin\TBWA launches a new campaign for Beat Bowel Cancer Aotearoa.

“Bums,” the Eleven PR release informs us, “are full of surprises. But the biggest of all is bowel cancer – it kills as many New Zealanders every year as breast and prostate cancer combined. Yet, if detected early enough, there’s a survival rate of 75%.”

To make some noise around the issue, the agency created a ‘Fartbombs’ website (www.bumsarefullofsurprises.org.nz) that enables the public to add fart sounds to any YouTube video.

Farters are then invited to share their creations with their friends and families. Each video ended with a message, encouraging them to spread the word about bowel cancer on social media.
