Auckland based digitally-led creative agency Little Giant, Linked by Isobar has worked with Pead PR to launch weight-management product calocurb to the New Zealand market, with reports of “fantastic” sales results to date.

Calocurb is a new subscription-based weight management product aiming to take a sizeable chunk of the global weight loss and weight management market which is expected to exceed US$253.1 billion by 2024 at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 6.2%.

Little Giant ceo Mark Hurley said (in a release supplied by Jane Torrance of Pead PR): “Launched in April and using revolutionary science developed in New Zealand, calocurb is already making big gains on the market with revenue achieved above expectations and a conversion rate higher than the industry average.”

Little Giant was engaged in September 2017 as calocurb’s brand, marketing and technology partner with Pead PR, the public relations and social media partner. A full working group was established with representatives from calocurb’s owner, Lifestream International, Plant & Food Research, Little Giant and Pead PR.

Little Giant completed qualitative and quantitative research on the New Zealand market, enabling the company to define a fully-informed brand strategy, build calocurb’s communication platform, website and visual brand identity, design their packaging and launch campaign concept and collateral.

“A combination of gold-standard PR and an end-to-end brand experience, delivered by our agency partners.”

At launch, the website built by Little Giant ranked in the top 1% for web traffic and sales on the Shopify platform out of the approximately 2500 online stores launched globally that day via Shopify.

Calocurb’s site conversion rate at launch was four times the global average and session duration  which significantly outperforms the industry standard.

Calocurb ceo Sarah Kennedy described the launch success as “a combination of gold-standard PR and an exceptional end-to-end brand experience, delivered by our agency partners Pead PR and Little Giant respectively,” she said.

Mark Hurley says the launch demonstrates the agency’s true end-to-end capability. “Calocurb is a great example of how Little Giant’s unique combination of strategic, creative and technology services can be applied to drive business success for our clients,” he said.

“We designed the brand strategy and brand identity, designed the packaging, delivered a marketing and channel strategy, designed all marketing collateral, built the custom e-commerce storefront using Shopify and consulted on set up and managed the backend IT infrastructure to support the reporting, sales & logistics requirements (Recharge and Go Sweet Spot).

“We are now working on an ongoing basis to improve the performance of calocurb’s platform and media.”

“This was true integration with no self-interest or protectiveness.”

Pead PR founder/ceo Deborah Pead puts their success down to a collaborative inter-agency effort.

“The integrated response to this brief has produced exceptional results and is a testament to the combined approach from Little Giant and ourselves,” she said. “This was true integration with no self-interest or protectiveness.

“From the start, our focus was on doing the best for the launch of calocurb and we’re proud of the standard we’ve set for global expansion.”

Little Giant and Pead PR continue to work with calocurb on an ongoing basis to optimise their platform and path to purchase and continue to manage their digital campaigns, PR and social media.
