NZME boosts senior team

AUCKLAND, Tuesday: NZME has made three new hires to its senior commercial team – Andy Taylor, Hayley Braisby, and Margaret Hawker.

Andy Taylor has been appointed to the new role of trading director – a similar role to the one he held previously at Carat London, before joining OMD in New Zealand to lead their investment portfolio. His most recent role was the national investment director for Publicis in Australia.

Margaret Hawker joins as agency team lead – integration. She has held senior key account and customer relationship roles at Bauer and NZME. And has recently been working at Running With Scissors.

Hayley Braisby has been appointed to the role of Auckland team lead. She joins from Warner Bros, and has a strong TV background from her time at MediaWorks.


“We are actively looking for talent who have significant industry experience.”

Additionally, Paige Sundberg continues as Auckland team lead, adding to her agency portfolio.

NZME head of revenue Paul Hancox said: “We are delighted to have Andy, Margaret and Hayley joining us. They have very strong media backgrounds and are well regarded across the industry.

“We have also taken this opportunity to look at how we become a more agile senior team and align our talent more closely to their strengths by vertical.”

NZME chief commercial officer Matt Headland said: “The new roles reflect the commercial strategy of the company.

“With the ever-changing media landscape, it is imperative our commercial team reflects the market. These new roles will allow the team to work more dynamically across NZME’s platforms to deliver the best possible integrated campaigns for our clients.

“We are actively looking for talent who have significant industry experience; the immense knowledge and skills the new additions bring to our growing commercial leadership team means we can be agile as the market changes, enabling us to continue to deliver for all our clients.”
