AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has launched The Front Page, a new, free daily podcast that gives audiences the news of the day in a convenient 15-minute burst.

Presented from Monday to Friday by hosts Frances Cook & Juliet Sivertsen, The Front Page will be available on podcast platforms iHeartRadio and iTunes from 5pm each day, as well as www.nzherald.co.nz and www.newstalkzb.co.nz.

Frances Cook, who has designed and developed the show, is already well-known to podcast audiences through her Cooking the Books show on managing personal finances, while radio audiences will recognise Juliette Sivertsen as a newsreader on Newstalk ZB – both with a wealth of experience in delivering news to listeners in an engaging, informative way.

“Both have a wealth of experience in delivering news to listeners in an engaging, informative way.”

NZME planning editor Andrew Laxon says the podcast launch marks an exciting development for the company.

“We’ve already shown listeners we can deliver high quality issues-based series, such as our Chasing Ghosts series on the disappearance of Amber-Lee Cruickshank, and the murders of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope in the Sounds.

“Earlier this year we tackled the impact of the #MeToo movement on New Zealand through the highly regarded Speaking Secrets, and now are giving our audience the option to catch up on the daily news in the same format.”
