AUCKLAND, Today: DDB Group’s PR arm Mango has kickstarted the year with two new senior appointments – reflecting, says MD Claudia Macdonald, its growth and focus.

Brianna Elder joins as group business director, responsible for some of the agency’s major clients, with a particular focus on food and lifestyle. Prior to joining Mango, she ran her own agency, and before that was a director of leading PR company Haystac (now MKTG).

It is her second time at Mango and Macdonald says she is thrilled to welcome her back. “Brie was a fantastic PR person then and she’s even better now,” Macdonald said. “We’re looking forward to her input and ideas across a range of PR, experiential and social activity for our clients.”

Zoe Virtue has joined as head of digital & social. She was previously senior social media director at Fuse/OMD. She has six years’ experience in the digital/social media space, and a wealth of knowledge from her experience at Air New Zealand and other agencies, including Sugar & Partners.

“We had a stellar 2018 with a number of new clients and projects – including some of Auckland’s most talked-about launches.”

“As one of this country’s biggest influencer and social marketing PR agencies, Mango is excited to attract someone of Zoe’s calibre to lead the growth of this important area of our business,” Macdonald said.

“Zoe will work alongside our PR and experiential teams as well as DDB’s digital offering to provide clients with strategic and integrated programmes,” she said.

“Mango had a stellar year in 2018 with a number of new clients and projects added to its portfolio. These included some of Auckland’s most talked-about launches, from the Instagram-friendly Holey Moley Golf Club in the Viaduct, to the opening of SO/Auckland and H&M’s flagship store in Commercial Bay.

‘We firmly believe we have some of the best clients and represent the best brands in New Zealand.  We’re looking forward to making them impossible to ignore again this year,” Macdonald said.
