AUCKLAND: Thursday: In a move to lure brand attention, Regal Marlborough King Salmon and Kiwi celebrity chef Al Brown have cooked up the ultimate culinary trip in a campaign engineered by Pead PR.

From today, the campaign will give shoppers have the chance to win a gastronomic trip for two to San Francisco with Al Brown when they buy Regal King Salmon.

“Al’s a leader and a cheerleader for New Zealand produce and cooking,” says Regal’s Sahra Cliffe.

“Brown will take the two winners on a culinary tour of San Francisco.”

“Foodies keen to experience all San Fran has to offer should keep a look out for the specially marked labels on Regal Marlborough King Salmon Cold Smoked and Wood Roasted products.

The prize will include five nights in four-star accommodation and NZ$1000 spending money. Brown will take the two winners on a culinary tour of San Francisco exploring his favourite foodie haunts including breakfast, lunch and dinner spots as well as a list of recommendations from Al on places to visit and dine.

Cliffe: “San Francisco can claim to be a world mecca of great food and drink. A city with some of the best produce and greatest iconic culinary history, it offers a food experience like no other.”

The competition will run for 12 weeks, with the winner drawn in June.

The team at M+AD reckon a food trip to San Fran should always include stops at The Cheeseboard Collective and Alice Waters restaurant & cafe at Chez Panisse on Shattuck Ave, Berkeley … not to mention lunch at The French Laundry, just up the road in Napa.

Brown was unavailable for comment but his office has confirmed our suggestions have been noted!
