LONDON, Today: Iconic battery brand Duracell has awarded its global creative business (outside the USA) to WPP agency Wunderman Thompson. The Wunderman win came after a four-month multi-agency pitch with 10 agencies in the running.

At press time, it was not clear who was the Duracell incumbent in NZ – M+AD has asked Wunderman Thompson’s Sydney-based ANZ ceo John Gutteridge for an update.

J Walter Thompson NZ managing director Simon Lendrum did return our call: “No news yet beyond the information you’ve got,” he told us.

“It’s a huge win for the group – and when we get the creative out we’ll give you all the NZ details.”
