AUCKLAND, Today: TVNZ Seven Sharp’s Jeremy Wells and Auckland PR man Paul Brislen last night gave viewers a fascinating look at the near-future of billboards in the NZ market.
Their focus was on the smaller, personal, and instore digital panels and bus-shelter ads, and provided insights that were either exciting – or terrifying – depending on your point of view.
We’re talking about 5G and inbuilt sensors and facial recognition software that measure the demeanour, gender, clothing styles and makeup of passers-by, enabling the display to switch instantly to specifically target different demographics.
