AUCKLAND, Today: In just 12 days the Comms Council will announce its call for the 2019 Effie Awards – entries will open officially on Tuesday 18 June.
Here’s the schedule:
- Call for Entries Issued: Tuesday 18 June
- Entries close: Tuesday 20 August @ 4pm
- Late penalty deadline: Thursday 22 August @ 4pm
- Preliminary Judging: Tuesday 10 September (Auckland) and Thursday 12 September (Wellington)
- Campaign Material Due: Tuesday 24 September
- Tickets on Sale: Wednesday 25 September
- Category Judging: Wednesday 25 September
- Finalists Announced: Thursday 3 October
- International Judge arrives: Monday 14 October
- Executive Judging: Wednesday 16 October (Auckland) at TVNZ – AM only
- Effectiveness Function: Thursday 17 October (4:30 to 7:30pm) at TBC VENUE
- Effie Awards Show: Thursday 24 October (Eden Park)
Effie-writing workshop
The 2019 Effie convenor is FCB chief strategy officer David Thomason, who will also be hosting the Effie-writing workshop on Tuesday 25 June.
