NZ notches up 86 Ad Stars finalists

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA, Today: A total of 86 New Zealand entries are through to the Ad Stars Creative Awards shortlist, announced overnight.

NZ companies with multiple finalists include Saatchi & Saatchi, Colenso BBDO, Ogilvy, Clemenger BBDO, Goodoil, and Special Group (scroll down to view the full shortlist).

Each is in the running to win Grand Prix, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Crystal trophies at the 2019 awards on Saturday 24 August.

From 20,645 entries, a total of 1811 campaigns have been shortlisted by 220 preliminary judges around the world. 

Thailand has the most finalists (212), followed by Japan (181) and Australia (132).

Ad Stars is judged in three phases: last month, a global panel of 220 preliminary judges voted on this year’s shortlists.

The second phase of judging runs July 10-17 when 35 final judges will begin online judging. On August 19, five executive judges and 35 final judges will arrive in Busan to select this year’s winners, including two Grand Prix, which receive US$10,000 apiece.
