AUCKLAND, Today: Omnicom Media Group agency disruptor Hearts & Science launched its NZ office yesterday, following a successful launch in Australia.

Hearts & Science will sit alongside OMD and PHD in OMG’s stable of brands as its data and customer experience-driven marketing agency.

Hearts was first launched in North America in 2016 with clients including P&G and AT&T. Now it has established a global foothold of 26 offices around the world including New York, London, Tokyo, Toronto, Dubai, Sydney and Melbourne.

The capabilities offered by Hearts & Science will (says the release, out of Omnicom PR shop Fuse NZ) “help deliver against NZ clients’ evolving needs around automation, audience development, customer experience design, measurement and brand safety to mention but a few”.

Jane Stanley, previously MD of Resolution, Annalect and OMD Programmatic (all existing businesses of OMG) has been named ceo of Hearts & Science NZ.

She joins Nigel Douglas and Nikki Grafton in reporting directly to OMG’s Sydney based ANZ ceo Peter Horgan.

Horgan said, “Under Jane’s leadership, our data and technology capability represents the gold standard for depth and capability in the region. With her combined expertise in business and brand strategy, data and analytics, technology and agency management, she is more than capable of translating the global Hearts & Science success story into the NZ market.”

“Jane will translate the global Hearts success story into the NZ market.”

Jane Stanley said: “The Hearts & Science proposition has always held great appeal to me. The ‘Heart’ is focused on respecting that today’s consumers are super smart and brands need to evolve with their changing needs rather than just push consistent messages.

“The ‘Science’ is about digging deeper into the data for actionable insights that build individual profitable relationships at scale. All delivered through smart technology choices that are appropriate to each individual brand.”

Hearts NZ opens with TheMarket as its foundation client. TheMarket will be NZ’s newest online shopping marketplace, when it launches on August 1, offering shoppers access to 1500 brands, within a curated lifestyle shopping experience.

Chris Daley, currently head of analytics for Annalect will became managing partner for Hearts & Science. “He brings a wealth of analytical, adtech and martech understanding to the team as well as having extensive media agency experience,” says the release.

Daley and Stanley will be joined at a senior level by Megan Smith who will become chief client officer. She has extensive media experience having worked previously at OMD, Carat and TVNZ.
