AUCKLAND, Today: Kiwis turned up in droves to watch Three’s two-part doco series Patrick Gower: On Weed. An impressive 794,200 5+ tuned in, with 412,500 sitting in the key 25-54 demographic.
The success of the NZ On Air-funded show knocked Married at First Sight Australia down to #2, scoring a 10.4 rating and 39% share of 25-54s.

To be fair, Gower did it all “for research purposes”. He travelled around New Zealand, Canada, Colorado and California examining the pros and cons of legal marijuana.
As the Stuff release said: “He can hardly claim to have done his due diligence without a toke or two.”
Gower is said to be “overwhelmed” by the programme’s success.
