AUCKLAND, Thursday: High St-based creative shop The Enthusiasts has launched a new tvc for Vogel’s. The ad explores what happens when a power cut strikes mid-Vogel’s toasting.

Enthusiasts strategic partner Martin Yeoman said: “At the heart of Vogel’s is the idea that nothing compares, that nothing else will do.

“Those that love Vogel’s will go to ridiculous lengths to enjoy it.”

Creative partner Jamie Hitchcock said: “There’s a consistent thread that runs through great Vogel’s work – so the task is to find a new way to tell an established story.

“The ad retains the seminal Chris Knox classic ‘Not Given Lightly’ – a soundtrack that’s long been associated with the brand.”

“Being a true Vogel’s lover, the hero [played by Troy Kingi of Hunt for the Wilderpeople & Mt Zion fame] goes on an epic adventure to find a way to complete the toasting of his precious Vogel’s.”

Goodman Fielder marketing manager Simon Cheape said: “This piece of work focuses on the emotional side of the brand through the incredible connection that New Zealanders have with Vogel’s.”

The piece retains the seminal Chris Knox Kiwi classic Not Given Lightly – a soundtrack that has long been associated with the brand.
