AUCKLAND, Today: VMLY&R has crafted a new Woman’s Day brand campaign, with a new tvc – inviting readers to go on a ‘vacay’ with the magazine.

Bauer marketing manager Lauren Dyke said: “The campaign premise is that reading a Woman’s Day is like escaping on a mini-vacay, any day.

“People love reading Woman’s Day on holiday, but because it is packed with just the right amount of everything – from the latest royal news, celebrity gossip and powerful real-life reads, to what’s hot in food, fashion, beauty, interiors, wellness, health and more – you don’t have to wait until you’re on vacation.

“You can stop what you’re doing, switch off the devices, put your feet up, and take a Woman’s Day ‘vacay’ wherever you are.

“The tvc launched at the weekend, supported with a multi-platform marketing campaign.”

The campaign features three women reading copies of Woman’s Day in bright, holiday scenes – laying on a hammock, under a sun umbrella, and on a giant pink flamingo pool toy, then the camera zooms out to reveal the ordinary, everyday environments that surround them.

Instead of being on a tropical island, these women are at home, work, and watching their kids’ soccer practice. The campaign tells readers that no matter where they are, they can escape on a ‘vacay’ with Woman’s Day.

Editor-in-chief Sido Kitchin said: “Reading Woman’s Day is a form of escapism from the busy juggle of modern life.”

The new tvc launched on October 20, supported with a multi-platform marketing campaign.
