VIENNA, Today: Auckland photographer Vanessa Wu has been selected for 9th edition of Lürzer’s Archive 2020/21 – a selection of the work of the 200 most prominent ad photographers in the world.

Wu is represented by Match Photographers, has been selected to appear in the 9th edition of Lürzer’s Archive 200 Best Advertising Photographers Worldwide 2020/21. Wu is only the second NZ female photographer to feature in the archive – and was selected alongside fellow Match photographers Paul Ross Jones, Ross Brown, Steve Boniface, Fraser Clements and Troy Goodall. The agency now boasts six photographers being among the world’s best.

Wu is known for her beautiful, minimalist yet distinctly feminine style. She is an accomplished photographer and videographer with a passion for still life and food.

“In a world where, thanks to smartphone tech, everyone is a photographer, this special edition celebrates those who have truly dedicated themselves to their craft.”

Her work appears regularly in advertising campaigns for Kapiti, Vogels and others. She has been on the board of the AIPA (NZ Photographers Association) and has won awards locally and internationally including Clio and Axis Awards, in addition to gold, silver and bronze AIPA awards.

Match director Gerardine Turney said: “With nearly three decades spent in the industry, selection by Lürzer’s Archive is particularly poignant for Vanessa marking her longevity as an advertising photographer.
