AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Mango Communications has formalised its corporate comms offering with leading PR practitioner Jill Dryden heading up the dedicated service.
Dryden, who has been a major shareholder, director and senior practitioner for a number of Auckland’s most successful PR consultancies (Star, Porter Novelli, Network Comms) has been working with Mango since mid-2018.
“For many years Mango has offered a really broad spectrum of public relations to brands, businesses and individuals,” says MD Claudia Macdonald.
“While we have been known largely as marketing communications specialists we have always offered corporate relations, issues management and stakeholder engagement.”
“However, the demand for strong strategic corporate communications closely aligned with emotionally resonant marketing communications has grown in the past few years and we realised we’re very well positioned to meet that demand.
She’s also worked with the Commonwealth Games, World Masters Games and RWC. She is a Fellow of the PR Institute.
“With Jill’s strategic firepower on-hand and appetite from existing and prospective clients, the decision was made to formalise the agency’s offering in this space.
Dryden said: “With Mango I’ve been involved in some significant and interesting work over the past year, from the development of a comprehensive hapū and external stakeholder programme for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa to the rebrand of financial sector leader FNZC to Jarden.
“At a time when reputation, transparency and purpose are more important than in any other decade, it’ll be exciting to see what this move brings.”
In addition to her consultancy career, Dryden has also worked in strategic communications roles with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, the World Masters Games 2017 and Rugby World Cup 2011. She is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of NZ (FPRINZ).
“We’re extremely lucky to have Jill on board and I think our current and new clients will reap the benefits of her experience,” Macdonald said.
Mango’s corporate communications services include stakeholder relations, media training, crisis and issues management, alongside media relations and content generation for corporates and organisations.
