AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Albany-based PR shop Rise & Shine yesterday hosted a series of three virtual beauty launches for Dermalogica NZ.

Three intimate Zoom events held over the course of the day offered key media and influencers the opportunity to virtually learn techniques to address isolation skin health concerns and hear about two new Dermalogica product innovations launching in May and June.

With geography no issue, the sessions are presented by international Dermalogica spokesperson Emma Hobson from her home in Sydney.

“Rise & Shine PR has an incredible understanding of our business and the challenges we have been facing as a result of Covid-19,” Hobson said.

Natasha Bourke, ceo for Dermalogica’s NZ distributor Two Hundred Doors said: “Rise & Shine have worked with us to evolve our PR strategy and use technological trends such using Zoom to our advantage.”

Two Hundred Doors is a NZ-owned company that distributes Dermalogica and owns Skintopia, a results-driven, scientifically based skin treatment salon in Wellington and (soon), in Auckland’s Commercial Bay.

“With geography no issue, the sessions were presented by international Dermalogica spokesperson Emma Hobson from her home in Sydney.”

“We’re really excited to see this idea come to fruition. As we move into Level 3, we wanted our clients to be top-of-mind for all the right reasons,” said Rise & Shine director Luci Marshall.

“The virtual launches are a great example of how businesses can pivot their communication strategy and embrace digital transformation – this is just one creative example of how we are helping our client, Two Hundred Doors, adapt to the new norm.

“We’re fortunate work with such an innovative and collaborative client, and we’re sure that these tailored events will generate lots of positive and relevant coverage in return.

“Not only has the content of the event been crafted to suit the Covid-19 climate, but so too has the look and feel of the event.

“So guests don’t need to worry about #WFH distractions running into their background, or a messy kitchen or office, they can upload a specially designed Dermalogica ‘virtual update’ background that was sent on receipt of their RSVP.

“And of course, due to these backgrounds, the Zoom event will be beautifully branded, ready to share on their social media platforms.”
