AUCKLAND, Thursday: Phantom’s Ben Stonyer writes: “It was four long weeks. 28+ days with no posters. The printing presses went silent. The paste buckets were put down. The Phantom vans and bikes were parked up.

“And that was fine by us.

“The fight to stop Covid 19 was an urgent and necessary one. Business took a break, and the people of New Zealand stayed at home and got the job done.

“But what happens when Level 4 turns into Level 3? Billstickers hit the street again.

Last week, we were putting in place the protocols to allow Phantom’s street poster crews to get back on the job. This week we unleashed them.

“Very soon, you’ll see new posters in your local Phantom frames. If you’re up at dawn, you may even see our billstickers pasting them up. We ask that you keep your distance, as we don’t want to burst any bubbles.

“Just give a friendly wave and check out the new artwork.

“As Kiwis emerge from their houses, we suspect they’ll be more open that ever to an encounter with creativity. Flora for the concrete jungle.

“Let’s make it yours they see.”
