AUCKLAND, Today: Integrated Kingsland-based creative agency Darkhorse has been appointed to manage the AUNZ public relations & social media for The Hotel Britomart’s launch.

Following a competitive pitch process which began late last year, Darkhorse was awarded the contract just prior to lockdown and has now begun working with developer Cooper & Co and the TFE Hotels teams in Australia and New Zealand.

Darkhorse will manage the PR, strategy, social media and media spend for The Hotel Britomart.

Darkhorse MD Mike Hewitt said: “The Hotel Britomart is set to be the most innovative hotel New Zealand has ever seen.

“The sustainability and community values embedded in it resonated strongly with us at D Darkhorse and we’re incredibly excited to help launch it.”

TFE Hotels’ head of PR, Jodi Clark, said: “We are thrilled to partner with an agency of Darkhorse’s calibre on one of the most exciting hotel openings of the year.”

“With 99 rooms and five luxurious suites, this will be NZ’s first 5 Green Star Hotel, and will open in late 2020.”

The Hotel Britomart, currently under construction in the Britomart precinct at the centre of downtown waterfront Auckland, is managed and operated by TFE Hotels as part of the TFE Hotels Collection.

With 99 rooms and five luxurious suites, it will be New Zealand’s first 5 Green Star Hotel, and will open in late 2020.

Cooper & Co is the company behind the patient 15-year regeneration of Auckland’s Britomart precinct, and the development of The Hotel Britomart itself.
