Big win for DDB, Colenso

NEW YORK, Wednesday: DDB NZ and Colenso BBDO have tied for The One Show 2020 Pacific Regional Agency of the Year title, announced overnight.

It’s the second big Pacific area creative title on the same day for Colenso, which also picked up the Cannes Lions Pacific Agency of the Decade gong in France.

Revolver/Will O’Rourke Sydney made No 6 on The One Show Global Production Company list.

DDB Sydney came in at #3 on the The One Show Pacific list.

Asia Regional Agency of the Decade was Dentsu Tokyo, and North America’s best of the decade was Wieden+Kennedy Portland.

The One Show 2020 Global Top 10 Network Rankings were (in order): Ogilvy, FCB Global, McCann Worldgroup, BBDO Worldwide, TBWA Worldwide, Commarco, DDB Worldwide, Accenture Interactive, DAS, and Dentsu.

No NZ or Australaian agencies make the global Top 10.

“The One Show 2020 Global Rankings are the definitive measure for global creative excellence,” said Kevin Swanepoel, ceo at The One Club for Creativity.

“In a year when most global awards such as Cannes and others decided to cancel their shows, we were driven to uphold our non-profit mission to support the creative community and elevate the best work in the world.

“The industry will use this ranking as the global measure for creative excellence, as decided by a jury of more than 200 industry leaders.”

The One Show 2020 Global Creative Rankings are determined by the cumulative point totals of Pencils and Merits won.  Rankings can be sorted by agency, client/brand, in-house agency, network, holding company, creative, highest ranking work, country and region.

A total of 19,688 pieces from 71 countries were entered into The One Show 2020. In total 552 Pencils were won: 171 Golds, 169 Silver and 213 Bronze.
