AUCKLAND, Wednesday: With the festive season just around the corner, The Warehouse has released its latest campaign with DDB Aotearoa NZ to reassure Kiwis that The Warehouse has got Christmas covered for everyone.
The campaign builds on the successful Give more Christmas platform and follows a Kiwi family in the lead up to Christmas Day.
This year, with the help of The Warehouse, Dad steps in to take charge of the operation – from the food preparation to the house decoration.
While Mum puts her feet up after doing the shopping, Dad devises several crafty ways for him and the kids to tick all the Christmas Day jobs off the list – using a drone to deliver the final touch on the Christmas tree, a power tool to whip cream and a packaging tape gun to wrap the presents.
There’s one small thing he forgets, however, but Mum is on hand to save the day.
DDB Aotearoa chief creative officer Gary Steele says the campaign is a humorous and creative concept that captures the pressures many parents feel in the lead up to Christmas.
“As a dad myself, I know how daunting and busy the weeks and days before Christmas can be,” he said.
“The campaign launched Monday with multiple video and creative assets, and is integrated in all The Warehouse stores, and across digital, social, TV, OOH, print, and radio.”
“It’s reassuring to know The Warehouse has everything you need to make those Christmas Day preparations a bit easier, particularly after the challenging few months we have had and the weeks in lockdown many New Zealanders have spent.
“To bring this idea to life we have created a light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek ad that shows what would happen if Mums and Dads both had it their way.”
Jonathan Waecker, chief customer and sales officer at The Warehouse, says this year’s Christmas campaign shows how The Warehouse takes the stress out of Christmas preparations by providing all the tools and gifts needed to do Christmas your way.
“I think we all need a bit of a laugh at the moment, and this campaign is a really light-hearted take on Christmas and all the work that goes into the big day.
“It reminds us that no matter who’s getting the job done, or how we choose to do Christmas together this year, we’ve got this and The Warehouse has everyone covered with everything they need at New Zealand’s best value.”
“We’re here to help – we’ve even created an interactive gift finder tool on our website to take the stress out of deciding on the perfect gift for our friends, our loved ones, or even ourselves.”
The Warehouse campaign launched on Monday with multiple video and creative assets, and is integrated in all The Warehouse stores, as well as across digital, social, TV, OOH, print, and radio.
