AUCKLAND, Today: To showcase Subaru’s all-wheel drive capabilities, Subaru of New Zealand via dentsu Aotearoa and Clockwork Films have created the story of a quintessentially Kiwi ice run.

Subaru national marketing manager Daile Stephens said: “The campaign sees Subaru’s all-wheel drive capabilities at work, navigating New Zealand’s unique geography, making a the journey from mountain peak to lakeside as effortless as a quick trip to the camp store or gas station.

“When we briefed this campaign we were looking for a quintessentially Kiwi way to hero all-wheel drive, which comes standard on every NZ new Subaru sold in New Zealand.

“The Dentsu and Clockwork teams have done a fantastic job to showcase Subaru’s unrivalled driving confidence in all conditions and terrains, proving that Subaru and New Zealand really are made for each other.”

“Directed by Clockwork’s Ryan Heron, the campaign will run across TV, social, digital and outdoor.”

With covid lockdowns dashing dreams of flying to the South Island, Glenorchy was swapped for Glen Eden, creating a mountainous escape in the middle of summer.

Dentsu senior creative Matt Woods said: “While lockdown proved tricky, we navigated it with all-wheel drive precision, creating a memorable brand campaign right here in the Auckland alps.”

Directed by Clockwork’s Ryan Heron, the campaign will run across TV, social, digital and outdoor.

From one GOAT to another
dentsu MD Murray Streets said: And in today’s NZ Herald, dentsu and Subaru of New Zealand have issued a congratulations ad from one GOOAT (the greatest Outback of all time) to Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, our GOAT when it comes to winter sports.

“It seemed like an opportunity to acknowledge true greatness, one GOAT to another. And a topical reminder that the All Wheel Drive Outback is the perfect vehicle for all budding snowboarders and winter sports enthusiasts inspired by Zoi.”
