AUCKLAND, Today: Ponsonby creative agency YoungShand has welcomed three new staffers to its team. GM Emma Dalton said: “Each of these women bring their own signature style and expertise, and we are pumped to have them and their brains in the building.
“Esther Watkins joins in a newly created head-of-production role, bringing 30 years’ experience working across agency and production companies.
Watkins said: “I’m excited to be heading up the production team for YoungShand. We’ve done some brilliant work together in the past few years and taking on the new role felt like a natural fit for me.
“I’m looking forward to producing more great work and fun times at Blake Street.”
Emma Dalton: “I’m thrilled to have Esther head up our integrated production offering. We have worked with her over the past two years to help create some of our best work.
“Her experience partnered with the fact she is already adored by our team and the industry alike meant she was a natural choice for the role.
“Her bicultural identity as a Filipina in Aotearoa gives her a refreshing and necessary perspective that any agency would be lucky to have in house.”
“Kim Mueller joins as our new integrated producer. She comes to us from Saatchi & Saatchi, bringing five years of expertise.
YoungShand CD Scott Maddox said: “From Kim’s first day, I could see her passion for creating great ideas was going to have a huge impact on our integrated offering here at YoungShand. She’s a great addition to the team.”
Emma Dalton: “Also joining us is Beatriz Carbonilla, our new intermediate designer. Beatriz has been at TVNZ for the last four years.
“Her bicultural identity as a Filipina in Aotearoa gives her a refreshing and necessary perspective that any agency would be lucky to have in house.”
Carbonilla said: “My identity fuels my desire to challenge social norms and celebrate diversity which includes the marginalised QTBIPOC and BIPOC.
“I’m excited to see where this new journey with YoungShand takes me; I’m ready to learn and grow.”
Scott Maddox: “Beatriz brings such a great energy to the design department, she’s made a great impact on the work already.”
