AUCKLAND, Today: FCB New Zealand has announced the promotions of Leisa Wall and Peter Vegas to co-chief creative officers – previously, they were co-ECDs. The pair’s leadership partnership at the agency has already lasted a decade.

In their new roles, Wall and Vegas will deepen their creative leadership across FCB NZ’s client portfolio, which includes Mitre 10, Foodstuffs, Air New Zealand and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

Following FCB NZ’s launch of creative data and CRM capability FCB/SIX earlier in 2022, the duo will now also play a pivotal role in bringing data-driven brand experiences to the region by bridging the gap between creativity and data.

“We’re thankful for each other, our clients, our teams — everyone who continues to believe in the effectiveness of our creative work,” said Wall and Vegas. “Our agency’s ability to solve business problems and address societal challenges in New Zealand is only getting stronger and more innovative, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.”

New York-based FCB global chair & global chief creative officer Susan Credle said: “The maxim ‘Don’t ask for the title, just start doing the job’ applies to Leisa and Peter.

“They are team players; they also happen to be superstars.”

“They’ve been CCOs in my mind for several years. This says a lot about who they are and how they lead. Autonomy trumps hierarchy. They are team players; they also happen to be superstars.

“And today they are officially the CCOs of FCB Aotearoa.”

FCB NZ ceo Sébastien Desclée said: “Leisa and Peter are so talented as individuals and so complete as a team on top of being exceptional human beings.

“Everything they do is driven by a genuine commitment to do the right thing, pushing our clients’ business forward and pushing for positive social change for Aotearoa.

“It’s a privilege to be working alongside them.”
