Parnell-based PR agency Haystac New Zealand – part of the Dentsu Aegis group – is celebrating five years of business in Auckland by adding five new clients to its roster – Energizer, Brown Brothers, Spaceworks, Gull Petroleum and Bigpipe.

The Energizer account was won through a competitive pitch and sees Haystac service the Energizer, Schick and Banana Boat brands. Andre de Beer, marketing manager of Energizer NZ, said Haystac delivered a pitch that showed strong strategic nous and a creative approach that provided a solution that exceeded expectations.

Focused on increasing profile and relevancy in New Zealand, Australian Winery Brown Brothers appointed Haystac to run an influence campaign that relied less on traditional media relations and more on a creative approach to public relations.

“Haystac was a great fit for us,” said Brown Brothers PR manager Caroline Brown. “We wanted an agency that pushed our thinking by providing solutions that went beyond the expected and traditional.

Spaceworks was impressed by the agency’s client service strategy of delivering exactly what they say they will, on time, every time.

“For us, service and communication is key when appointing any partner and we have been delighted not only in the results that Haystac has produced for the launch of Pop Up Now but in the way they delivered it; on time, beyond the brief and with a smile,” said Spaceworks managing director Lizzi Hines.

Gull, the company’s most recent win, was impressed with Haystac’s approach, said Gull NZ general manager Dave Bodger. “At Gull we’re pretty straight-up kind of people, who roll up our sleeves and do what we need to do. We wanted a PR agency that worked in a similar style.

“Haystac has proven to be a great choice for us, working quickly to understand our business, giving good honest advice and delivering great work.”

Haystac New Zealand is run by directors Brianna Elder and Alice McKay, who are delighted with the wins and the growing roster of clients. “It’s been a busy 2014 and it appears there is no letting up in the slide to Christmas,” said McKay. “We are really proud to have been chosen by this diverse range of clients to be part of their plans for growth.”
