SKY lets its audience’s imagination take to the skies in its new, stylish TVC, created by DDB and directed by Steve Ayson of The Sweetshop.
The 60” spot first aired on Monday and follows an unassuming young hero as she explores the power of freedom in her own hands, orchestrating the flight of tens of thousands of birds.
The TVC is designed as a teaser to promote the latest SKY On Demand offering scheduled to launch in early 2015.
Mike Watson, SKY Marketing Director, says, “2015 will be a landmark year for SKY in terms of our consumer offering. We wanted a campaign that would give a sense of the scale of the changes we are making. It’s a truly beautiful spot. DDB nailed it…again”

SKY On Demand will see MY SKY customers be able to watch subscribed content at a time that suits, rather than just at the time scheduled. Instead of needing to pre-record a favourite TV show or film, viewers can connect the updated decoder to their home broadband and choose to stream from the catalogue of available content, at their convenience.
