AUCKLAND, Today: New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) just boosted its audience share and listener numbers in the latest GfK Commercial Radio Survey, released today.
The survey highlights the strength of NZ’s commercial radio, with 3.4 million Kiwis tuning in weekly.
Newstalk ZB remains on top, holding the title of the country’s number one commercial radio station for the sixteenth year. The Mike Hosking Breakfast continues to dominate with 445,300 listeners.
ZM had a fantastic result, growing its audience to 537,400. The Hits celebrated its biggest audience ever, increasing its share for the eighth consecutive survey. Radio Hauraki and Flava also saw record listener numbers.

NZME shines in digital audio, attracting 1.3 million people and boasting the top podcast network with 17.2 million downloads in 2024.
